A Little About Me.

My love and passion for dogs has finally taken hold of me.
My first Promise to you is I only use force and fear free interactions with animals. Positive thinking leads to positive play which ultimately leads to a positive animal!
A little of my background.
I grew up with dogs.
I myself have had dogs pretty much all of my adult life.
I have been in the army for 28 years. Many years ago I was in the process of transferring into the veterinary core so I could become an official dog handler. But I got promoted within my role and so I decided to stay put. (very long story short)
2003 I worked with the dog handlers out in Iraq.
In 2007 I got a little bit of hands on experience with the dogs in Afghanistan.
2014 I got out of the army, I had served my term -25 years-.
At that point I got my second rescue and current dog/very best friend, Freddy Bear. He had missed out on six months of his life and due to this he needed a great deal of time/effort/patience but most of all love and dedication. He got them all and not one second was begrudged or rushed. He has made my house a Home and he is just amazing. I love him to pieces.
It was at this this stage of my life that I decided in one way or another I was going to work with dogs. So I signed up with Animal Jobs Direct and started doing some courses. I have since gained 2 Diplomas, both with distinction. Please see picture. I am also half way through my latest course “Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Business”.
2015 I volunteered at the Border Collie Trust Rugeley. I totally loved being around the dogs, and the dogs totally loved the extra fuss and attention they got.
2016, I decided to rejoin the army.
This is a totally new adventure for me. The army has had 28 years from me, but my plan now is to get my business up and running and then make it my full time job. So currently I work a 4 day roster shift pattern. There are only 4 days from 16 which I cannot help you out. 4 days from 16 I have a limited 5 hour gap. 8 days from 16 I can do any time day or night. All my services -such a cold word :(- are listed but I will try and help you out in anyway I can. Please drop me a line and let me see how I can help you and remember, no ask is too much or too little. In the main I work within a 5 mile radius. However I can always sort something out.

Solo Pooch Walking.

I can take your dog out on his own for his much beloved walk. 
Solo walks are great for the up and coming pooch who is just finding his way in the world. Some dogs just prefer to be on there own and of course the more mature dog is just after a no fuss walk.
The walk will be 30 minutes or an hour if you think your pooch is up to it.

£10 an hour. £7 half hour.

Socialization

The more you can get your dog mixing with others, the better! I offer Pre arranged social dog walks over Cannock Chase where you can join a group of fellow dog "parents" and help your four-legged friend get used to being around others. During our hour-long walks, we also share useful training tips and information to help you raise a healthy and happy hound.
If you have a nervous pooch or one that barks or displays aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, I also offer a one-to-one socialisation sessions focused on changing their negative behaviour.

Group Pooch Walking

Professional Experience

Have more than one dog? No problem. Want your dog to meet some new four-legged friends? I can do that. As long as all dogs are happy with a pack walk, I'll walk up to three at a time ensuring they all get the attention they deserve.
30 mins is £10 (50% discount for more than 1 dog from 1 house).
60 mins is £15 (50% discount for more than 1 dog from 1 house).

Home Visits.

When you can't be there to give your pooch or other small pets the positive interaction and love they crave - I can offer play time, fun and cuddles.
Whether they just need company, feeding or medication administered, I can be there to look after their needs. Visits are for a minimum of 30 minutes in their home environment. Longer visits can also be arranged at a price to be agreed.

Leaving your pooch (or other fur-baby) with someone is a big thing. I get that! You want to know they are in good hands and will be well looked after. Whether it's my dog-walking service, home visits or pet-sitting, you need to know who is coming into your home and that I'm the right person to look after your animals. This is why I offer a free, 30-minute consultation so you and your awesome pets can meet me. We can discuss how I can help and you can make sure your pets are perfectly happy with me.

Pet Taxi.

Do you need help getting your pooch (or other pets) to the vets or groomers? I can help! Any kind of transport request can be looked at, with collection from and return to your home address. I have a hammock for my car as well as a special seat belt adaptor so they can travel safely and comfortably. For safety and comfort it suggested that your pooch travels with a harness. For cats and other pets, you will need to supply a travel cage.
£15 an hour. £10 half hour.

Finding somewhere for your pets to go while you’re on holiday can be stressful. We offer the perfect solution. Our pet-sitting service means your fur-babies get to stay at home, where they feel safe and secure. Keeping them in their usual routine and in their own environment reduces their stress and anxiety while you are away. But as well as that, I offer you peace of mind that they are getting all the love and attention they need.  Whether it’s your dog, your cat or your gerbil, they’ll be looked after as well as if you were home.
